Setting up text for iron on vinyl

Here's a short set of instructions for setting up text when you are using iron on vinyl. Iron on vinyl is cut on the wrong side. The shiniest side of the vinyl goes down on your mat. Because you cut it upside down, you have to flip and reverse your text. Here is a screen print in DS of how you have to set up your text. First you have to type it backwards. If you want the word LOVE, you have to type E_V_O_L, and you have to click on the "flip shapes" button - you have to do both. So, the word should appear backwards to you AND all of the letters should appear backwards. The top word is how the word is typed and the bottom is what it looks like after you click "flip shapes". (This is the same procedure in SCAL - you find the flip shapes button in the "Properties" box)The bottom word is ready to cut. Also, don't forget to flip any shapes or designs too.

Thank you very much for the tip. I probably would have messed it up the first time!

What kind of heat vinyl do you purchase from the H & H website?
