Dry Erase Boards

Here are pictures of the dry erase boards I did for my craft show. I bought them for 2.99 each at a local mom n pop party store. They measure about 16x16 inches each. A really nice generous size. They have corkboard around the edges for dual duty. I sold them for $12.00 each and sold out! I just used regular GT5 vinyl for the words. The flowers are just those scrapbook embellishments with a thumbtack in the middle. (click on a picture for a better view).

Weekly Dingbat- not exactly a dingbat

Thanks to Lyndad on the SmartBuyGal forum for finding this font. It is called Addams Capitals. It is perfect for Halloween items. Here is a craft block I did with it. You can find it here:

Frame blocks for craft show

Here are the frame blocks I made for the craft show. They are all 6x6 blocks which are hollow in the back which make them really lightweight (compared to tiles) and they stand up on their own. The long ones are 13 x 6. Here is a picture of what I started with. the best thing is that I got them for $1.00 per package, so they are
.66 for the long ones and .33 for the small ones. I just put scrap paper, and some vinyl, on top of the pictures that they came with then a vinyl design. They really came out the way I wanted!

Ice Buckets for Craft Fair

Here are pics of some of my ice buckets for the craft show. They are tin cans with a removable ice bucket liner and lid. They also have a hook on one side and come with the most adorable stainless steel scoops. I think they are adorable.

Craft Show craziness!

I haven't done a craft show in years. I have donated many goods to craft shows for charity, but not done one for profit myself in a while. So, next Saturday I'm doing one and it is CRAZY around here. I'm going to sell tiles, frame cubes (I'll post a pic), ice buckets, and platters. Also I have made car decals, insulated mugs, and magnets (all with my church logo on them). My table fee is $50 so I really hope to do well. Over the next week I'll be posting pics of my items I'm selling!

Silhouette Halloween Tile

Here is a new silhouette tile I made. I used matte black vinyl and then added the ribbon and button embelishments. It was so easy I may make a few more and try to sell them. The witch head is from Happy Hauntings. The tile is 8x10, it just worked well with this oval design.

Today's craft---COOKIES

It was a nice cool day and perfect for turning on the oven and making cookies. For the whole summer we had about 35 days over 90 degrees, so finally the oven is on!!

I made one of my favorites. Lemon cake mix cookies, couldn't be easier or more delicious really!

recipe:

lemon cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup oil
yellow food coloring (optional)
1/2 tsp lemon extract

Mix everything together, drop by teaspoons, bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes.

Tips: if you do not have lemon extract you can use lemon juice and zest OR a tablespoon or so of dry lemonade mix.

When they are done, dust generously with powered sugar.

Halloween Tile

I was inspired by a card I saw on the Cricut MB, so I wanted to make a tile using a similar design. I used real buttons for the letters "o" as well as on the boots and ribbon. I used real ribbon on the dress form. I'm really happy with how it turned out using the mixed embellishments.
