What I love - cinnamon bun french toast.

Ok, the weekend is here, so whip some of this up for your little goblins. Make french toast per your regular recipe, now when it is hot off the griddle, add a tablespoon or less of cream cheese frosting out of the can - like Betty Crocker or Pillsbury. (not vanilla frosting, it has to be cream cheese frosting) - schmear it around and then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar - yes, you are in heaven!

Wimpy T-shirt

My son loves his new Diary of a Wimpy Kid attire. It is from a book series of an awkward tween boy and his friends. Quite popular among the tween set. Anything that gets the kids excited about reading is good with me! I used the heat transfer vinyl and SCAL to design.

What I Love

I decided to add a new addition to my blog, just for giggles and grins in between my crafting and Cricut adventures. called WHAT I LOVE~

What I love:
Cereal Milkshakes - put 1/2 cup of your favorite cereal (presumably something artificially colored and flavored) in the blender, then a complementary ice cream and milk - blend.drink.smile.sugar high!

I love the Captain crunch with vanilla ice cream.

Night at the Museum

Here's another project with the glow in the dark iron on vinyl. It really is the coolest thing. It glows so great. My son likes the Night at the Museum movies, so we made him up another T-shirt.

Rice Krispie Treat Ghosts

So, now you know not all of my creations are vinyl - Here is my latest non-vinyl creation. Rice Krispie treats ghosts. Hope I can inspire any of you. Yum. I bought the prepackaged treats (on sale with a coupon, almost free). I carved the top corners to round the head, dipped in white chocolate and used my royal icing eyes with mini M&Ms . As I was making them, I thought they'd make cute tombstones too, dipped in dark chocolate.

Trick -OR- Treat???

Not everything I make is with vinyl. These are edible eyeballs. I found pretzel nuggets shaped like eyeballs and knew I had to craft them into something. I dipped the pretzels into white chocolate. I piped green royal icing for the iris and the pupil is a mini M&M. I then used straight red food coloring on a toothpick to create the blood shot look. I know the kids will just love them. I plan on hiding them in a bowl of popcorn...can you say Trick or Treat!

FAUX Glass Etching

I've has the glass etching vinyl around and finally decided to work with it. it cuts just like regular vinyl and goes on with transfer tape just like normal. It looks like frosted glass, but it isn't - it's vinyl. It's faster, cheaper, and much easier. (and removable) - and dishwasher safe.

There is a certain charm to the glass etched item, and even though I've had lots of success with it, I always have a pit in my stomach when I wash the creme off wondering if I had any bleed through of the design and if the vinyl stencil held well.

Also, sometimes the etching just doesn't show up so well after all of that work. I've wanted to add an etch design to my front door storm window, but wouldn't dare try the real etching, I'll just use the glass etch vinyl.

Just like regular etching, the pics don't show very well - they look like silver vinyl, but the real item is a real white frosty look. My husband couldn't tell the difference between a real etched item and my glass etched vinyl item.

Glow in the Dark Shirt

Here is the shirt design (front and back) I came up with for my son. I used the glow in the dark iron on vinyl from H&H Sign Supply. This stuff is so AWESOME! Below is the .svg for the fangs. The drippy font is Creeper, the other one is Cukoo.

What is a good price for vinyl...

I've been asked a lot what is a good price for vinyl. You should not pay more than .50 a square foot for regular outdoor/craft vinyl (before shipping).

Rolls come in different sizes and widths, but calculate it per square foot so you can compare apples to apples.
To calculate:take width in inches x length in inches then divide by 144 to get the total square feet
so a 19" roll at 5 yards is 19 x 5 x 36(There are 5 yards and each yard is 36 inches) = 3420 divide by 144 this is 23.75 square feet - so you should pay $12.00 or less.

Also don't forget to add in shipping to get the real price, shipping prices vary and can add a lot.
