Teacher Tote

I've been looking for these totes in order to vinyl them. I found them at my Dollar store and bought them all! These bags are a great size and measure 18 inches wide by 13 inches high, with generous handles and a flat bottom. It is a PVC type bag, not fabric. I just used regular outdoor vinyl. Used SCAL for the paw and the font LD Susie for the words. I'm going to make these for end of the year teacher gifts.

Rubber stamping on chocolate??

I just found this on a website - looked interesting to share. I know so many of us love the clear acrylic stamps.

I WILL be trying this.

1. Place a small amount of vegetable oil on a paper towel and allow it to absorb. Take your choice of new acrylic rubber stamps and dab it in the oil. It is important that you use new rubber stamps for this as the finished product will be consumed and you don't want any ink coming off the stamps onto the chocolate.
2. Heat the surface of the chocolate with a heat embossing tool.
3. Place the oiled clear rubber stamp (without a stamping block) into the melted chocolate. Refrigerate the chocolate with the clear stamp still in the chocolate. Complete your set of chocolates using different rubber stamp images.
4. Once the chocolate has solidified, bring it out of the fridge and gently peel the clear acrylic stamp from the surface of the chocolate.
5. Package your personalized, unique stamped chocolates in a box. Add a little colored tissue paper if you like. Be sure to clean your clear rubber stamps with soapy water as you don't want any traces of chocolate or oil left especially if you plan on converting your clear stamps over for use on paper crafts.

Dollar Tree Find

I found these at my local Dollar Tree - 25 pack of assorted color envelopes. They measure 3x4.5. I'll probably use them on my cards to make gift card holders. Or...hmmm...I'll come up with something cute.

How I SCENT...

I like to scent my cards occasionally - it's even fun to scent a paper flower bouquet. I find these are the best scents and do not stain or leave any oily residue. They are from Walmart. They are 2oz bottles for 1.97. They are in the craft area, but near candles. The scents I have here are vanilla pound cake, pina colada, warm sugar cookie, and wild cherry blossom. I put them in a spray bottle and just apply only TWO sprays. Make sure to label your small spray bottles. The spray bottles are usually in the toiletries area with the sample sizes.

I scream...You scream

It is ICE CREAM season. And who doesn't love those big soft serve cones?! Here we even get them dipped in chocolate usually...Mmmmmm...Makes me crave a cone. Here is a cut made with DS. I used George and Doodlecharms for the cone and ice cream. The chocolate dip is made with George, Doodlecharm and Plantin. There are 2 separate cuts one for just the cone and ice cream and anothe one for the dip!. Guess what- the little swirl on the top of the cone is an upside down seahorse! Enjoy

Monogrammed FLIP FLOPS

I guess whenever I see a blank surface I think I can vinyl that. I've seen those oh so cute monogrammed flip flops and knew I could do that. I used vinyl and cut the vinyl letters to fit into a 1x1 inch space. I've gotten lot of compliments so far. Do you like 'em?

A Fan-tastic card

I just had to make a Yankees card- after all, a new stadium year and all. But...my friend is a Mets fan and when she saw my Yankees card, she said I had to make a Mets card too. I made these with the New Arrival cart - used the onsie cut and just cut the bottom off of the onsie. The team logos were cut in SCAL. The shirts are put on with pop dots so they really "pop". Hope you like them.

The Bermuda Bag

Who remembers the early 80s and the Bermuda Bag?...Didn't we love these bags with changable covers in cute and preppy colors, stripes, and plaids. I made these with DS (all George). The cards open on the side. I even monogrammed one with vinyl. The cut file is in the right hand column. If you remember these oldies but goodies, make sure to leave a comment!!

The cleanest craft in town!

I craft-lifted this idea from YvonneLoPresto from the Cricut Message Board. They are personalized and vinyled Hand Sanitizer Bottles. I got the hand sanitizer at Dollar Tree for $1 for the big bottles and 2/$1.00 for the smaller ones. I used our school logo and initials for these super teacher gifts. I finished them with a paw charm and ribbon. Just peel the label off of the bottles and place your vinyl design on. (If there is any adhesive left when you peel off the label, just wash it off with warm water and dish soap, or my fav, the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser). The paw cut is from SCAL - the .scut file is in the right hand column!

I vinyled my Wellies

I had to wear my rain boots the other day and knew they needed to be brightened up. I used the daisy on the Wedding cart, used a black shadow and small white circle to complete them.
